Inka Express was founded by Jorge Concha and his brother in 1998.
Having lived all their lives between Cusco and Puno, they realized tourists were missing out on so many incredible stops along the way, so created the Ruta del Sol (the Incan Sun Route).
Many companies have since copied the service, but Inka Express were the pioneers of the service, and continue to be the market leaders, offering the best and safest buses, experienced local guides, and first class VIP service to all its customers.
The pandemic caused huge problems for Inka Express and the Concha family, who had recently invested in brand new buses and expanded the service. However, thanks to their persistence, Inka Express was finally able to relaunch in March 2024.
Today, Inka Express is known in Peru for its local charity work at the many poor places that exist between Cusco and Puno, and has many awards for its sustainability and humanitarian work. Traveling with Inka Express helps the local community grow, as well as giving you an incredible local experience.
